concluded a far-reaching alliance during the ITB International Tourism Exchange
in Berlin and signed a one-year cooperation agreement. This agreement
envisages joint marketing using a variety of channels. Visitors to the Sixt and
Steigenberger Hotel Group websites are told about the partnership and there are
links to the partner websites. As a trial, Sixt will be integrated into the hotel
booking process. Once guests have finished reserving their rooms they will be
able to book the vehicles of their choice quickly and easily in just a few clicks on
the www.steigenberger.com and www.intercityhotel.com sites. In InterCityHotels,
ads running on flatscreens and other materials will tell guests about attractive Sixt
offerings and a range of special promotions they can enjoy. Sixt customers will be
informed about special offers at InterCityHotels and Steigenberger Hotels and
Resorts on mirror hangers, in newsletters and in the Go Sixt customer magazine.
The agreement also envisages close integration into both companies’ social
